Mara Galmarini is a full-time professor at the Business School of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) and an independent researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina (CONICET). She holds a Ph.D. in Bromatology from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), a Bachelor´s degree in Food Technology from Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), and is a Marie Curie Alumna. She currently serves as co-director of the MicroMaster in Behavior and Business at UTDT.
Her research focuses on sensory sciences and consumer behavior, with interest on developing applied sensory methodologies with consumers (e.g. dynamic methods, free-comment analysis), crossmodal studies, and qualitative consumer-oriented tools. Throughout her academic career, she has collaborated with several universities and research groups in Brazil (Unicamp, Campinas) and France (Centre des Sciences du Goût et l’Alimentation, Dijon). She also works as a consultant for the private sector and is actively involved in science communication, contributing regularly to national media, public outreach programs, and social-media platforms.
