Dr. M. Catalina Eneström is an Assistant Professor at the Business School of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT). She earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology from McGill University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Managing People in Organizations department at IESE Business School.

Her research explores how people rely on interpersonal relationships to make sense of their experiences at work and in life. In particular, she examines how relationships with close partners and coworkers shape employees’ sense of meaning and purpose. She also investigates how unshared experiences—such as those arising from hybrid work arrangements or interactions with AI chatbots—can undermine the benefits typically derived from interpersonal connections.

Catalina is the host of the podcast Just Your Average Human, where she interviews leading researchers and translates complex findings into actionable insights for everyday listeners. In addition to her academic work, she has professional experience in consulting, sales, and marketing at international companies across Canada and Argentina.
