Central to Laporte's philosophy is the belief that theory and practice are inseparable,
mutually enriching one another. He perceives the most fruitful knowledge creation to occur precisely at the intersection of academia and organizations, fueled by real-world problems and challenges affecting these organizations and society at large. Moreover, he firmly holds that new knowledge can only reach its full potential when put into practice within organizations. It is at this pivotal interface that Laporte channels his efforts into teaching, conducting research, and providing consulting services.

Laporte's academic journey is a testament to his relentless pursuit of knowledge. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Operations Management from IE Business School, IE University in Spain. Additionally, he has earned a Graduate Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from MIT (USA), an Executive MBA from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil.
