Juan José Miranda Bront is Assistant Professor of Operations Research in the School of Business at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT), and Associate Researcher at the National Scientific and Research Council (CONICET). Juan José holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science (2007) and a PhD in Computer Science (2012) from the University of Buenos Aires.

His research belongs to the area of Operations Research, more specifically in the study of difficult problems within planning, network design and resource management applied to logistics and transportation, combining mathematical programming with the design of exact and heuristic algorithms. These developments result in new computational tools that translate into improved planning and decision making processes.

Some of his research projects include: last-mile logistics under congestion effects, network design in supply chain management, scheduling problems and the design of exact and heuristic algorithms for vehicle routing problems. His work has been published in distinguished journals in the field, such as Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research and Computers and Operations Research, among others.

Juan José has also participated as a consultant and SME in optimization and logistics in several applied projects for Gire SA, Belgrano Cargas and Logística, and Accenture Applied Intelligence, among others.
