Victor Araman is a professor of Operations Management at the American University of Beirut - Olayan School of Business. He teaches, in the Executive MBA program, courses such as Competitive Advantage from Operations, Supply chain Management, Models for Strategic Planning and more recently Optimization and Revenue Management. Before joining AUB in 2007, Dr. Araman was for many years a full time faculty at New York University - Stern School of Business.

In 2006, he spent a year as a visiting professor at INSEAD (France and Singapore). He is currently an adjunct professor at Stern (NYU), the Mediterranean School of Business in Tunisia (EMBA), Di Tella University in Buenos Aires as well as the EMST in Berlin.

His primary research area is risk management and tactical decision making in operations, with emphasis on pricing as well as capacity and procurement management. He is an active consultant in the broad area of operations and strategy. Before joining NYU Stern, Dr. Araman worked with Altera Corporation in San Jose, CA and Mckinsey & Co. in Paris. He received his Engineering degree from Ecole Centrale, and his M.S. and his Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University.
