How to meet locals and make friends when in Buenos Aires?

1. Attend the orientation: it is a great place to meet other international students before they´ve settled into a group.
2. Get a local functioning SIM as soon as possible: in this way, you won’t miss out on spontaneous plans.
3.
Participate in student clubs and sports: these are not predominantly formed by international students so you will most surely make a few local friends while doing something you enjoy.
4.
Get roommates: although plenty of people live alone and stay socially active, if you’re in a new country and university, getting roommates sharing an apartment is a great way to stay active and meet new people in your same situation.
5. Organize plans to explore your new cityorganize day trips to sightsee, explore the local cuisine, attend a show, etc. Don’t be shy from inviting your local friends either as often times locals don´t know many of the places they know tourists love.
