René Caldentey is an Associate professor of operations management at New York University Stern School of Business. His primary research interests include customer service, optimization, probability statistics, retail management and stochastic modeling. He has been published in numerous journals including Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Journal, Operations Research, Queueing System and The Chilean Central Bank Review. Professor Caldentey worked for the Chilean Central Bank and taught at the University of Chile and The Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
