Agustín Gravano is a Computer Science professor and researcher, specialized in Artificial Intelligence. He is an Associate Professor at Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT) and an Independent Researcher at CONICET. His research focuses on modeling the extraordinary degree of coordination shown by human beings while engaged in conversation, mostly using machine learning and applied statistics techniques. This knowledge is later used for improving the naturalness of spoken dialogue systems. Prior to joining UTDT, Agustín was full-time professor at the University of Buenos Aires (2011-2020). He received his PhD in CS from Columbia University in 2009, and his Licenciatura (roughly an MS) from UBA in 2001, during which he did some work on Graph Theory topics before moving on to Artificial Intelligence.
