Spanish Immersion Program

This 15-week long, full-time program is designed for university students who want to spend a semester learning or improving their Spanish while gaining an in-depth understanding of Argentina´s history and culture.

All participants take three compulsory courses: two consecutive levels of Spanish (84 lecture hours each) and a History and Culture course (48 lecture hours) taught in English.

The program is broken into two 7 week modules. In each module, students take one level of Spanish and the History course and they attend 1 or 2 cultural visits. There is a week-long break on week 8 of the program.

Three levels of Spanish are offered during each module: Basic 1, Basic 2 and Intermediate 1 in the first 7 weeks, and Basic 2, Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2 during the remainder of the program.

The Spanish Immersion Program runs from the end of January to early May, and from the end of August to early December.

Program fees include housing in homestays, some meals, excursions, cultural visits, all course materials and local support.

Important note: students enrolled in this program cannot take UTDT´s regular semester courses and students enrolled in UTDT´s regular semester courses cannot take this program.
