Assistant or Associate Research Professors in International Relations

Di Tella (UTDT) invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor
positions in International Relations, with an expected (but negotiable) start date of
February 2027. Exceptionally strong candidates may also be considered at the Associate
Professor level. The positions are open to any substantive subfield, theoretical
orientation, and methodological approach. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a
strong commitment to research, teaching, and student mentoring. The teaching load is
three courses per year. The position includes research funding and a fully paid sabbatical
year every six years.

Responsibilities: teaching International Relations courses at both undergraduate and
graduate levels; developing research projects; publishing in leading academic journals
and university presses; supervising theses; and actively participating in the activities and
institutional development of the Department and the University.

The selection of the candidate will be subject to the conditions established in the
Academic Statute of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella for the appointment of Assistant and
Associate Professors, available here.

Academic requirements: Applicants must hold a PhD — or expect to obtain one shortly
— in International Relations, Political Science, or related disciplines. They must also
have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and published or forthcoming
academic work that reflects a high level of research activity. Fluency in Spanish and
English is required. Applications must include the following materials:
1. Cover letter.
2. Detailed CV.
3. Research statement and teaching statement.
4. Up to two published or forthcoming articles and/or book chapters and/or
dissertation chapters.
5. Two letters of recommendation, which must be sent directly by their authors to
the email address indicated below.

The deadline for submitting the required materials is August 28, 2026. Applications
