Language Exchange Program in London

Bader International Study Center, Queen´s University

This program is designed to help UTDT students practice their English language skills while they, in turn, help their Bader International Study Center, Queen´s University partners improve their Spanish.

How does it work?

Only 11 students from each institution will be selected. Each student will be assigned a partner from the other institution and will be given a time frame within which they need to agree to meet through Skype twice.

The first meeting will have a minimum duration of 20 minutes and will take place on Thursday, March 21st at a time determined by participants. Students will each introduce themselves in the language they are practicing, have time to ask each other questions about their countries and cultures and will need to agree upon the topic that each of them will present on the second meeting.

The second meeting will take place on Thursday, March 28. This will also have a minimum duration of 20 and each student will present in the language they are practicing their research on the topic they have chosen about the other student´s country/culture. A Q&A will follow each presentation. The presentation will need to be made as a video-blog/ audio recording or PowerPoint presentation.

Further information about the project and contents of each session will be provided to chosen participants,

To ensure that all meetings take place within the stipulated times, students will need to submit to Bader a screenshot of the time when each meeting begins and that when it ends.

Participating UTDT students will receive a certificate of participation issued by Bader International Study Center, Queen´s University.
