INTERCAMBIO DE INFORMACIÓN FINANCIERA CON FINES TRIBUTARIOS

El 30 de diciembre pasado se publicó en el Boletín Oficial la Resolución General (AFIP) Nª 3826 que implementa el "Common Reporting Standard" en Argentina. Este es un paso esencial y necesario para instrumentar el intercambio automático de información con fines tributarios previsto en el Convenio Multilateral sobre Asistencia Administrativa Mutua en Materia Tributaria, del cual nuestro país es parte. 

En forma paralela la Confederación Suiza asiste a un cambio histórico en su política de secreto bancario y fiscal, celebrando acuerdos para intercambiar información con fines fiscales en forma automática.
 
Con la visita especial del profesor suizo Roland Pfister y la presencia del profesor argentino Eduardo O. Meloni, el presente seminario se propone tratar tres cuestiones:
1. Recientes desarrollos en Argentina en preparación del intercambio internacional automático de información con fines tributarios.
2. Perspectiva Suiza sobre intercambio automático de información con fines tributarios, considerando brevemente el desarrollo histórico y haciendo especial énfasis en la política vigente.
3. A partir de los puntos anteriores, discusión sobre la factibilidad y oportunidad de intercambio de información tributaria entre Argentina y Suiza.

Expositores: 

Roland A. Pfister | Badertscher Attorneys at Law / Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts 
He studied law at the Universities of Neuchâtel and Granada. After the completion of his law degree, he worked for an international law firm in Belgium and a leading investment bank in Zurich. Then, he joined the tax department of one of the "Big Four" firms in Zurich/Geneva. In addition, he holds an Executive MBA in Wealth Management and was a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School. From 2011 to 2014, he worked at a law firm in Geneva. As of 2015, he works at an international corporate and tax law firm in Zurich/Zug. He is a regular contributor to tax journals and lectures frequently in postgraduate tax programs. His main areas of expertise include Swiss, Liechtenstein and international tax law for individuals and corporations, incl. funds, trusts and foundations.

Eduardo O. Meloni | Independent Tax Advisor / Universidad Torcuato Di Tella 
He is an independent advisor specialized in international tax planning. Throughout his long career, he served as an in-house international tax counsel at an international market leader company with business activities in more than 50 countries and extensive involvement in Latin America. Before that, Eduardo O. Meloni gained extensive experience in the tax departments of the “Big Four” firms, and as the head of the Latin American team with IBFD. He is a regular contributor to tax journals and lectures frequently in postgraduate tax courses. He holds a degree in accounting from the University of Buenos Aires, an LL.M. in International Taxation from the University of Leiden (NL) and a Master of Laws from Leicester University (UK).
