Structure of the Program

The Program includes the following four courses:

  1. Interpretation and Application of Tax Treaties in Emerging Economies
  2. Transfer Pricing in Latin America: Controversial Issues
  3. Taxation of Financing Structures in Emerging Economies
  4. Tax Planning in Latin America: Implications in Asia, Europe, and the US

The courses will be taught on the following dates and times. They run from 8, 30 AM to 12, 30 PM and from 2, 30 PM to 6, 30 PM:

Certificate in International Taxation
The Northwestern University School of Law Tax Program and the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella International Tax Program will award a Certificate in International Taxation to participants who successfully complete all four listed courses.

Location of Classes
Classes for all courses are taught in English at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires. Translation to Spanish and Portuguese will be provided if certain conditions are met.

Course Requirements
Participants must attend all class sessions and complete advance reading assignments. Participants will receive a syllabus for each course in which they enroll providing them with a listing of the text books and materials to be used in each course and the assignments for each class session. Participants should review each syllabus carefully prior to the beginning of the program because participants may be required to obtain course materials prior to their arrival in Buenos Aires.
